Sylvia Heck, Manager of Vista Rehab of Mesquite, is a licensed physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Sylvia became interested in physical therapy at a young age due to the injuries she sustained and rehabilitated as a gymnast. She attended Texas Woman’s University on a gymnastics scholarship where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, as well as a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduating, Sylvia began working in general orthopedics and has continued to enjoy this area since 1995.

Sylvia specializes in the treatment of the knee, shoulder, back, and ankle. She has a special interest in advanced rehab for athletes returning to sport. Sylvia enjoys being involved in local outreach programs to various gymnastics clubs and high school athletic programs, including injury prevention and strength and conditioning seminars.

In her leisure time, Sylvia enjoys cycling, running and spending time with her husband, two children and dogs.
