| Kerri Nelson, PT
Kerri Nelson, a native of Saskatchewan, Canada, is dual degreed, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. After moving to Dallas in 1996, Kerri practiced in a multidisciplinary hospital setting, treating both inpatient and outpatient. Since 1998 Kerri has focused her clinical skills in the outpatient orthopedic setting and has been with Southwest Sports & Spine since 2000.
Kerri has completed an extensive two year Pilates certification program. Pilates is a core stabilization program designed to strengthen trunk musculature as well as improve the flexibility of the extremities. She teaches private Pilates classes and integrates many of the Pilates principles into the therapy regime when treating spine patients. Kerri’s orthopedic clinical emphases are upper extremity dysfunction and spinal pathology.
In her leisure time, Kerri enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and participating in all types of sporting activities, especially golf.
