| Kristen McConnell, PT, MS
Kristen brings professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm to Orthopedia Physical Therapy. Kristen graduated from Texas Woman’s University-Dallas in 1999 with a Master of Science degree in physical therapy. She has been practicing in a multidisciplinary hospital setting treating both inpatients and outpatients. Her primary focus has been in the area of pediatrics. Kristen has treated a variety of children, including but not limited to, children with cerebral palsy, torticollis, orthopedic injuries, cancer, burns, brain injuries, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and developmental delay. She provides each child with a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan in a setting that is fun, motivating, and functional.
In addition to her skills in the area of pediatric physical therapy, Kristen brings an athletic background to Orthopedia. As a multi-sport athlete, Kristen has participated in school and club sports and served as a coach for a club soccer team. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Kristen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Centenary College of Louisiana. At Centenary College, Kristen excelled academically and athletically. As the captain of the NCAA Division I women’s soccer team, Kristen utilized her leadership skills and strong work ethic to mentor younger players.
In her leisure time, Kristen enjoys spending time with Keegan, her husband, and two wonderful sons, Jack and Hayden. She also enjoys exercising, teaching Sunday school, and scrapbooking.
