James Lewis, clinic manager and co-owner of Allen Sports and SpineCare, LLP, is a licensed physical therapist. A native of Texas, James graduated from Plano High School in 1986. He later received his physical therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) of Dallas in 1997. Prior to entering physical therapy, James served six years in the U.S. Air Force and is a Gulf War Veteran.

James has many years of experience treating patients with general orthopedic injuries sustained from work or play. He specializes in the treatment of the spine, shoulder and knee. James also treats TMJ and vestibular disorders. He has enhanced his skills with hundreds of hours of continuing education and is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). He also enjoys teaching tomorrow’s physical therapists as Adjunct Faculty at TWU School of Physical Therapy in Dallas. In 2004 James was awarded Clinical Instructor of the Year by the Texas Physical Therapy Association.

James has strong ties to Allen’s athletic population, treating many of the area’s high school athletes as well as collegiate and professional athletes from many sports. James and his wife live in Plano along with their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys bird hunting, woodworking and home improvement projects.
